Your crystal

which crystal do you feel most connected to? I feel a very strong connection to Hemetite. It's good for grounding and protection. It filters -negative- energy and turns it into +possitive+

quartz crystals energize me a bit, especially after a really long, draining tarot session or something.

I have a special affection for garnets and aquamarine and amber though. Those three always make me happy. :p

I must say I also have big connections with rose quartz and Amythist! I bought Andrew(my BF) a HUGE chunk of Rose Quartz right before I left on my trip to Asia for 8 months so that he could put it on the Window ledge and everytime the sun came to his side of the planet his crystal would absorb the love I was sending into the sun from my side of the planet. I also did this for my mommy too, but with a beautiful peice of Amythist. I also carry a small peice of Amythist in my pocket right now(it always changes though, cuz I always endup giving crystals away if they're on me), and I wear a peice of hemetite in my necklace. I'm about to attatch a peice of point quartz wraped in wire that my friend made for me yesterday. I think I'll make it into a chain for my belt:)

I am very much connected to Amethyst....Awestruck by it's beauty and varitations in the colour purple and miniture rainbow fractals hidden within it's clusters (my favorite colour!) as well as the calming effect it has energetically....Amythest balances the energies of the intellectual, emotional, and physical bodies and provides a clear connection between the Earth plane and the other worlds....~I once had a dream where i was walking along a path through a lush forest that lead me to a clearing.....i lost my breath as i looked up at the most beautiful water fall trickling over the hugest sparkliest amethyst cluster i had ever seen!...If this world exists somewhere, this is where i want to be!!!!~

wow. it looks like quartz is rather popular, isn't it?

Lol. Anyway, garnet is my birthstone, too, and it's provided me lots of help through the years. especially those times that i had to make really tought desicions and i couldn't get my head to clear and make the rihgt choice. I'd clutch the piece of garnet that i have and empty my mind for a while, before fading back to the task at hand. It's amazing, how it seems to refresh my mind and i end up seeing things from a wholly different angle, noticing things that i never thought was there.

ANd with amethysts, whenever i sleep with one near by, whether i was conscious that it was there or not, i end up having either very detailed and almost-real dreams, premonitions, or sometimes I even end up going on astral travel, all without meaning to (i never could do those things on purpose even if i wanted to...).

A stone that i am completely amazed by is Moldavite. Anyone heard of it or come accross it? For those who haven't: It is a tektite (meteoritic glass) that was found in Czechoslovakia and was formed when a meteorite hit the earth. This action produced a strew field of this beautiful green stone. It is one of the rarest varieties of tektite, was formed over 15 million years ago, and is the only known "gem quality" stone of extra-terrestial origin.
A small piece was given to me. I held it in the palm of my hand and was shocked at the instant tingling sensation running from the center of my hands to the tips of my fingers! It also turned the center of my hand chakra white.....Ever since i felt the power of this stone i have been on a mission to find more. I believe it holds immense potential, for direct interdimensional accessing of higher dimensional galactic energies. So if you have any interest in commucicating with aliens....perhaps this is the stone for you!

That sounds amazing. You're lucky to recive such an amazing gift! Now you have me curious. I want to learn more, and find this crystal from outer space! I imagine it would be hard to find and quite expensive?
I wonder what other crystals are out in there in the galaxy.

...the stone in itself did not come from outer was formed as a result of the meteor colliding with the earth. It happened in the Czech Republic and people have dispersed it throughout the world...the larger pieces i've seen in stores were a little expensive.

By far my favorite for many years in pink tourmaline. I love, love, love the deep gem ones that are like magenta diamonds. they feel particularily strong to me. But hard to find in any good size and when you do they are some serious bucks. But so incredible. I have a piece of chunky pink tourmaline that i think needs a new home. Hmm maybe i will strike up a give away.

Does anyone here know about Mayan artifacts? Mayan obsidian especially..I have a few questions. Also anyone here who is into Tachyonized cells and crystals?

                        Moldavite is dear to me.
Right now I'm experimenting with Sphaerocobaltite,
                        a lovely crystal.

Have had amazing experiences with Quartz crystals as well.

Have been creating Crystal elixirs for some years.

Very good energy in this tribe, thank you all !

It never fails to amaze me. I check out something new and there he is; me brother John, disbursing good information as usual! And yes I agree, the energy is way UP in this tribe.

My favourate stone must also be amethist. Ever since I was a child, it had a major draw on me, and for all the reasons stated previously but also because it reflects the colour of the soul; purple.

Another one I work with, particularly when healing others or myself, is rainbow obsidian; a very effective absorber of negative energy and said to bring in "elf energy". I have also been experimenting with crystal elixirs lately. It's facinating stuff...

                          Good vibrations to you all!

Garnet is awesome. It's good for enhancing physical strength. It releaves fatigue and boosts stamina. It's great for any kind of physical exertion and heightens endurance. I wear it any time I work out or hike. I used it for sexual stamina and it worked unbelievably.

Traditionally it was exchanged between parting friends to ensure that they's magickally meet again. In a similar sense, it was given between lovers/partners as a sign of commitment and longevity.

blue kyanite with quartz has been a sweet companion lately, beautiful deep blue of kyanite on one side and orangy-red quartz krystal on the other side....kyanite doesnt need clearing or cleansing. It doesnt accumulate or retain negative energies or vibrations. when it grows with quartz or ruby it gathers and applifies radiant clear positive energies it aligns all chakras automatically and immediately.

This combo facilitates meditation! assists in astral travel! bringing strength to the connection between the conscious self and the astral body while assisting in the conveyance of understanding and control of one's journeys. has been fun lately..feeling lots ov novelty :)

eye recently received a solid flourite (or possibly amethyst) tetrahedon as a gift from a friend who traveled to thailand. it's super light and gentle, it was carved in india. it's beautiful...vibrates with understandings of metratron's cube: a sacred information system!! heart chakra connektion! hmmm...

an amazing tibetan quartz found me recently :) eye bow deep in honour of having this powerful teacher as a companion right now. Using Vibrational Colour and Light, Zenith Omega Energy helps release stored emotions that are restricted and blocked by unbalanced Energy.

The Human Body, which holds thought patterns and emotions - is also a store house for un-manifested fears, desires and the potentials of abundance.

Utilizing Frequenices of Colour, the body remembers these stored memories and patterns. Zenith Omega Energy helps release these stored cellular memories, bringing you more clarity about yourself, and others. last sweet stone, so sweet an lite, hmmm.. a beautiful mossy green heulandite: a trapezoidal krystal that 'takes you' to Atlantis and Lemuria where transfer of ancient information concerning traditions, techniques and standards are facilitated! ok...eye'm a info tech geek! hmmm...going to bed...sweet dreamz star tribeez

I would have to say my recent purchase(6 months or better), My large Quartz Crystal. The day I recieved it in the mail I was feeling very drained and lethargic do to some energy work the previous day. The day I recieved it was a day of paying bills, so in my state I was barely even able to focus on tasks at hand. but I found my self clinging to this New Crystal in my pocket. I was coming back, It charged me like I had never been charged by a crystal and to this day I find myself going right to that crystal when I am down, or just plain tired beyond the norm. I will cherish this one much more then any I have at this time.

I was told later it was a sigil crystal, I would like to know others opinions about a such a crystal, I never even knew they existed. what little I have read makes me wonder if it was meant for my hands or if it is another I am holding for when the right person comes for it.

Has to be this great piece of orange citrus calcite that I got in Athens, GA at some rock and glass store in January. A good friend of mine bought it for me and neither of us could put it down all weekend. It fits perfectly in my hand! Plus i was holding it when I was up on the balcony on the 17th at STS9... and the lights from the show were lighting it up all different colors. It was beautiful.

Aquamarine??? What a gem. It represents the Goddess aspects of the Ocean; understanding, mercy, and compassion. And of course, it has that beautiful, loving, light blue frequency. Wearing a bracelet, it warmed my entire hand. It's good for projecting intentions. There is a manufactured varyation called Aqua Aura. They melt it down and release Cold into the chamber in some sort of vapor form and when they re-crystalize together, it gives the aquamarine this bright gold hue that's absolutely unbelievable. Aquamarine alone is fairly rare, Aqua Aura even more so and very expensive.

I have several crystals and depending on what is going with me, my life also changes which crystal I am drawn to. They ones that usually come to mind are my smokey quartz and the tabbed (flatter) quartz crystals. I like keeping them near my windows, above the bed to help guide me in my sleep.

I've been working with crystals for the past 18 years or so... cutting and polishing, using them in healing layouts as well...

I first learned to cut and polish quartz wands... mostly from Brazil and mostly six-sided, but my favorite is an 8-sided clear smoky quartz wand approx. 9 in. in length...

My personal favorite is a stone I cut and faceted by hand... an amethyst I dubbed the "Princess of Madagascar"... initially about 2 in. in diam., but cut and faceted to about 1 in. across the face... with an inclusion in it that appears to be a "bolt of light coming into a cathedral window"... awesome... (you can see it in my photo album).

I studied gemology and earned a degree from the GIA...

Was studio manager for Lehrer Designs in Marin County, cutting "Megagems"... huge quartz generators... one that weighed about 100 lbs. and was optical-grade quartz from Brazil... you could read fine print through nearly one foot of rock! Crystal and gem-carving jewelry designs was fun... with just about every precious and semi-precious gem-quality stone you can imagine... citrine to tourmaline to aquamarine and beyond.

By far, the most easy to use to raw SiO2 -- silicon dioxide -- quartz...

i am so incredibly thrilled right now. i just went to a gem and mineral show in fort collins today and picked up the crystals that were calling me the most:

quartz crystal-while i was holding it in my hand, i could feel this wonder ful pulsing sensation. i just got it today so we'll see what kind of things it assists me with.

selenite- i found a piece that was probably 1-2 pounds! amazing piece from mexico. it assists in a bunch of different things, but it also clears 3rd chackra issues, which i have been having lately. great watery energy.

smokey quarts- i got two pieces-one that was really dark, and another that had more light than dark. when held together they created a magnetic field. whoo hoo!

i'm also drawn to anything that has irridescent/prism qualities to it.

my favorite- these days anyhow- is a piece of fire quarts i picked up in montreal two years ago, a really nice heavy quartz, if i recall properly, grounds, elevates mood, and has a wonderful dancing energy.
i'm also very partial to zincite, which comes in the most beautiful shapes and ranges in colour- i recently picked up a piece that is orange, all spiky and totally beautiful...but i allso have a piece from poland- and the mine there had a fire 100 years ago which turned the zincite green...lime green...equally beautiful.

i'm also in love with my record keeper rubies, sapphires, and amythesyst- and i have one amythsyt that is not only a record keeper but also an enhydro- and it never leaves me.

I have always been drawn to bloodstone. By far my favorite stone, it is a lovely deep green jasper or chalcedony speckled with red or orange iron oxide spots. One legend from the middle ages attributed the origins of bloodstone to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ when the blood from his wounds fell to the green earth and transformed it to stone. Bloodstone receives its name from this legend as well as the belief in its healing abilities. Before the time of Christ, Bloodstone was known as Heliotrope which means "sun turn," from a Greek legend stating that heliotrope reflected the sun in the earth as blood red. Another legend states that covering the jewel heliotrope with the herb heliotrope could render the possessor of this charm invisible. This combination was not restricted to only invisibility spells. Bloodstone reputedly predicted and caused lightning and thunderstorms.

This stone is especially beneficial to the circulatory system and the body's detoxifying organs. It not only purifies toxic blood, it also detoxifies the liver, kidneys and spleen. Bloodstone is also beneficial to the reproductive organs, bones, and heart. Iron deficiencies also change for the better through the influence of this mineral. Heliotrope was said to clear blood shot eyes, relieve sunstroke, and headaches. As an amulet, it was also carried to prevent injury and disease and enhance physical and mental vitality and balances the mind, reducing emotional and mental stress.

Egyptian priests and doctors often used bloodstone in their healing potions, ground to powder and mixed with honey. In this form, it was used to heal tumors and stop hemorrhaging. Soldiers were advised to carry this stone into battle for its ability to staunch wounds, and women in childbirth were also directed to use this stone to prevent hemorrhage. It is also said to increase a person's courage while preserving them from danger. As an amulet, bloodstone was said to preserve its wearer from deception and dispel anger. At the same time, it was credited with giving its owner incredible charisma. Anything the wearer said would be believed.

Though any sign may use bloodstone, it shares March with Aquamarine as the birth stone for people born in this month. It is suggested for healers, people with poor circulation, and those who have suffered physical or emotional trauma to their hearts. Bloodstone stimulates the movement of kundalini energies and assists in linking the root chakra and the heart chakra. Bloodstone is said to have a remarkable ability to remove blockages of all kinds and effect changes.

Lately I have been fond of rutilated quartz, despite the fact that I have a horrible allergy to all metals and it's been speculated I can probably only wear platinum (and who has money to experiment like that? heh) But it does not have such a varied and lofty history as bloodstone (or at least not that I've been able to find). It helps to focus the intellect and influences creativity.

    My 2 favorites

#1) Moldavite: One of the ULTIMATE crystals!

(as referenced in the thread above)'s kind of a be-all, end-all crystal...richly coloured, translucent green...they are the only known gemstone of extraterrestrial origin...
technically categorized as tektites, I have my OWN theories about how and why they were formed...
Moldavite is the rarest of ALL tektites, only found in the Moldau River region of the Czech Republic. The BEST quality of these are specifically found in the Basednice area...
Moldavite is an extremely strong grounding stone...
It is rumored that Moldavite helps you talk to other sentient beings (like humans, whales, dolphins and ??)

#2) Kunzite: a lilac-pink form of Spodumene...the color is a result of traces of manganese...I have some from both Brazil and Afghanistan...I use Kunzite to help my mind and my emotions get more in sync.
