Just wondering if anyone has any information about the healing properties of kyanite. I recently got a piece and haven't had much experience with it... Would love to hear people's experiences with it....

Mon, February 18, 2008 - 10:28 AMThis a wonderful mineral!!
For me it has great balancing energy, helps release negative energy, and is also great for dream recall.
One of my favorites. . . .

Re: kyanite
Tue, February 19, 2008 - 9:10 AMPurportedly, kyanite is wonderful for smoothing, balancing, and repairing energy in one's aura. My mood does seem to be definitely lighter and happier whenever I wear my bullet-shaped, polished kyanite pendant. Kyanite is also one of only 2 minerals that never have to be "cleaned" because it can disperse negative energy without absorbing it (the other mineral with this property is citrine). -

Re: kyanite
Tue, February 19, 2008 - 1:15 PMI'm laying Kyanite and Hemitite on each of my chakras with the addition of Quartze points at my crown and base, along with a hunk of Blue Lace agate parked in the middle of me somewhere, twice a day at the moment. I'm experiencing strong grounding, balancing, energizing, and extra speed and amplification provided by the Quartze points. Really invigorating and just plain YUM!! :D
Whenever I want to quickly clear energy I've picked up, I reach for kyanite, another great ally! Although this is one of the stones not needing clearing as TuTLXuTL mentioned, I like to place them on Amethyst clusters after they've worked with me anyway. Can't hurt to give em a charge up in that delightful erg. :) -

Re: kyanite
Tue, March 25, 2008 - 6:07 PMUm, no one seems to have mentioned that there are different kinds of Kyanite. I have a piece of blue that I use to clear out "static" from my system, but black has it's own feel altogether (I don't really follow traditional properties anymore, but I like black when my hematite needs some backup). -

Wed, March 26, 2008 - 3:49 AMgreen kyanite is very nice, too. you don't find much written about it's qualities, but people sure like it. sometimes it will have a streak of blue down the center. -

Thu, March 27, 2008 - 8:34 AMThere is a photo in my "Photo Album" of a piece of green kyanite that I have in my collection, if anyone is interested in seeing what that variety of the stone looks like.

Re: kyanite
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 11:02 AMKyanite is an odd stone, at least for me. I bought a medium sized peice (tumbled) and I feel like it retains negative energy more than any other stone I have. I haven't used it in so long for this reason... I suppose its not right for me. -

Re: kyanite
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 10:48 PMKyanite is not supposed to absorb negative energy. Are you sure that's what you have? Is it mixed with something else? This is an unusual case. -

Re: kyanite
Sun, May 18, 2008 - 7:06 PMNope, it's Kyanite. I have a friend who has a pendant of Kyanite, and has told me the same thing. It's odd, I know, but maybe it;s just not right for me.
