I have found that when gifted with a stone, it will work with me weather I 'know what it is for' or not. The standing people will tell us what they will do with us. We really don't need someone to tell us, except the stone that is. Sometimes the energies stuck in our bodies, say a throat chakra, have that chakra spinning out of balance, like a misplaced weight on a vehicle tire. Sure, it is our throat chakra out of balance, but the energy stuck there causing the chakra to be off balance may be an energy better treated with a stone 'for something else'. There is no right or wrong area to use any stone.

Jade is more associated with the heart chakra rather than the throat. Blue jade is associated with peace and reflection, inner serenity and patience. It is good when you are feeling overwhelmed. That is what the books say, but really, the stone will talk to you.

Carry it when you need it. Place it where it feels right. Let it "sing" to you and follow its lead. Maybe who gave it to you is a clue as to its job in your life.
